Is director of content acquisition for digital platforms with Grupo Salinas, including the first ever Digital Terrestrial Television Multichannel service on the continent, known as Hi-tv. He is responsible for acquiring existing linear digital channels, developing new channels, fostering relationships with content providers and acquiring top rated programming. Schwarz joined Grupo Salinas in 2008. He was most recently at JumpTV, responsible for driving advertisers to the JumpTV online properties, managing the Terra.com distribution relationship and assisting in content acquisition of top tier Mexican and Latin America content. Prior to JumpTV, Schwarz was at Turner Broadcasting (a Time Warner company) where he was Director of distribution sales for Mexico and Central America, responsible for developing Cable, DTH, IPTV, Mobile, Broadband and other innovative distribution methods, such as Cruise Ships and Military applications; he began in 2000 as account executive for the Caribbean and special markets, in 2002 he was promoted to manager of distribution for Mexico and Central America. Previously he worked for Disney ABC Cable Networks in the United Sates as sales and marketing coordinator, where he was in charge of marketing for the Southeast Region and distribution in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Schwarz is also a veteran officer of the United States Army, which took him to different parts of the world, including Thailand and Korea, where he resided for a year. Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Said Schwarz is a multi-national with US Citizenship and has a degree in Spanish Commerce and Biology from Georgia State University and a Fellow of the prestigious television industry Walter Kaitz Foundation. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
